This workshop will enable participants to draw from life experiences to craft stories (fiction or memoir) that aim to discover an understanding of the human condition and connect the personal to the universal. Topics covered will include conflict lock, emotional truth, voice, credibility, and creating tension and urgency. Methods can be adapted for novice and advanced writers who want to strengthen their craft. Writing assignments will be due weekly, and feedback will be provided by both instructor and peers.


Hosted by the Story Circle Network, this course is for women only.

​​Literary Delights, A Women Authors' Luncheon

Literary Delights, hosted by Zonta Club of Charlevoix, will feature two  notable women authors: Melissa Grunow and Amy S. Hansen. Copies of their books will be available for purchase and signing.


All proceeds from Zonta’s Literary Delights go to directly support projects which advance the status of women locally, nationally, and internationally, including Zonta’s Sights on Success event—a free, day-long program offered to local middle school girls to build teamwork, self-esteem and confidence.

Tickets are $40 per person, and include a  luncheon, silent auction, and gift basket raffle drawings.
